Yeti Airlines ATR-72 aircraft crashed in a built-up area between the old Pokhara airport and the new city international airportrecently opened. The images arriving from Nepal, in fact, show the site of the disaster with several houses in the background

Upon its impact on the ground, near the Seri River, the plane caught fire and other images published by Asian media show thick columns of smoke caused by parts of the burning aircraft

At the moment the causes of the accident are not yet known

According to Asian media, the plane came from Kathmandu and crashed on landing between the old and new airport of Pokhara in central Nepal. The aircraft caught fire and rescuers fought with the flames, looking for survivors
