Nicoletta Manni is no stranger to surprises on stage. In July 2022, at the end of the show Roberto Bolle & Friends, Timofej Andrijashenko asked her to marry him after having performed the famous pas de deux from Romeo and Juliet together. Tears, applause and emotion.
Nicoletta Manni’s appointment had been in the air for some time. The right moment seemed to have arrived in Rudolf Nureyev’s Swan Lake which was staged in September when the then prima ballerina gave an excellent performance of one of the most difficult choreographies in the repertoire. Yet another excellent performance of these years.
“I waited because I thought that Onegin was the right time to see Nicoletta’s artistic side – the director of the Corps de Ballet Manuel Legris explained to Sky Tg24 – It was the right time also because she danced it alongside Roberto Bolle, who is already étoile”.
Nicoletta Manni, in addition to being the protagonist of Roberto Bolle’s television programs, was also the protagonist of the two blank lessons in Piazza Duomo of Ondance, the dance festival created by Bolle
“Nothing can be said about Nicoletta’s technical abilities, we have all known them for some time. But in addition to those she also has a great ability to produce emotions” the superintendent of the Teatro alla Scala Dominique Meyer underlined to our microphones immediately after the appointment. Nicoletta approached dance as a child in an absolutely natural way. The mother has a dance school in Puglia and for her Nicoletta, as she also told in the book published by Garzanti which has just been released The joy of dancing, dance has always been part of her life. Nicoletta started for fun and then realized very soon that she would choose dance in her life. Hence her decision to leave for Milan despite her very strong bond with her family and her homeland. In the photo the final pas de deux of The Nutcracker choreographed by Rudolf Nureyev
