Nord Stream, fourth leak in gas pipelines discovered

Two of the losses occurred in the Danish Baltic Sea area, two more in the area belonging to Sweden

The Swedish Coast Guard has discovered a new gas leak from the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines, bringing the total number of leaks to four, as reported by Swedish broadcaster Channel 4. “Another gas leak was discovered in Baltic Sea “, confirms the Coast Guard. “This means that a total of four leaks were detected in Nord Stream 1 and 2,” the broadcaster said during a live broadcast. Two of the losses in Nord Stream occurred in the Danish Baltic Sea area, two more in the area belonging to Sweden. The Swedish police intelligence unit (Saepo) has taken on the task of investigating the gas leaks and has not ruled out the possibility that there is a “foreign power” behind the alleged sabotage.

MOSCOW ACCUSES WASHINGTON – Moscow in the meantime raises the accusations against Washington for the sabotage of the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea. In some statements entrusted to TASS, the Russian ambassador to Washington, Anatoly Antonov, insists on the need for an investigation to clarify the facts and clearly alludes to the responsibility of the American side. “We record attempts by some American lawmakers to blame Russia for the accidents that occurred at the NordStream 1 and 2 pipelines,” he says. “Perhaps they have a better view from the top of Capitol Hil. But if this is the case they must also have seen the activities of American warships just the day before exactly at the site of the breakdown of the Russian infrastructure. Or noticed drones and helicopters that they flew over the area. Or watched American explosives scuba drills conducted in the same area some time ago. And then they must have remembered President Biden’s promise to ‘end’ the NordStream 2 project. ”
