Nord Stream, Kremlin: “Attack by the USA and the UK”

The Biden administration has adamantly denied the allegation

The “terrorist act” against the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines of a year ago was “in one way or another organized by the United States and Great Britain.” This was stated by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, underlining that the information collected by the American journalist Seymour Hersh “on the terrorist attack on Nord Stream substantially coincides with that in possession of the Russian secret services”.

According to Hersh, they would have been US Navy divers, operating undercover during a NATO exercise with Norway in the Baltic Sea, to plant explosives on the two gas pipelines in the summer of 2022, subsequently receiving orders to detonate them in response to Russia’s invasion. The Biden administration has adamantly denied the allegation.

“We don’t know what sources Mr. Hersh has, but in any case, basically the information he published certainly coincides with the data in possession of our special services,” Peskov said during a press point.
