The Italian champions sign the former Barcelona player
Olimpia Milano signs Nikola Mirotic. The 32-year-old, born in Montenegro and a Spanish citizen, leaves Barcelona and signs a three-year contract with the Italian champion club. “I am happy – says Nikola Mirotic – to become part of this big family that is Olimpia Milano and to be able to contribute to making this team and this prestigious club ever more competitive. I will try to give all my best to reward the trust that Mr. Armani and President Dell’Orco have shown me. I’m also very happy to be back playing for Coach Messina whom I met when I was starting out. I’m sure next season will be fun and our fans will be proud to we”.
“When the possibility of bringing Nikola Mirotic to Milan arose, Leo Dell’Orco and I said to each other that we should do everything possible, while respecting our principles, to turn this opportunity into reality. Mirotic is a champion of proven quality and a special person. We managed to win him over thanks to the credibility that we have built over the years with the great work we have all done together on and off the pitch. Bringing him to Olimpia is a gift that our fans will appreciate and it is a great opportunity to the whole team. We are also convinced that Mirotic will feel at home here with us and, like other champions before him, he will be happy to have chosen Milan”, the words of the patron Giorgio Armani.
