ITALY – The ISS, on December 4, confirmed 9 cases of the Omicron variant in Italy. “In the ICoGen platform there are currently 9 sequences deposited for the Omicron variant: 7 of the cluster relating to the index patient; 1 found in a patient in the province of Bolzano; 1 in a patient in Veneto”, specified the Istituto Superiore di Sanità

DENMARK – The toll of Omicron variant cases of Covid-19 registered in Denmark has risen to 183. This was reported by the local health authorities, speaking of one “disturbing” spread of the new virus strain. ROMANIA – On December 4th they were registered the first two cases of Omicron in Romania. As reported by the ministry of health, quoted by the regional media, it is a 48-year-old woman from Brasov and a 59-year-old man from Vasluj, who returned from South Africa on 30 November last.
