On Sky Cinema the films nominated for the David di Donatello 2023. Programming

Looking forward to the awards ceremony scheduled for May 10th (here all the applications), many of the candidate films are already available on Sky and on demand (here all the nominations). They range from Gianni Amelio’s THE SIGNOR OF THE ANTS, nominated for best film, best director, best original screenplay, best leading actor for Luigi Lo Cascio, best supporting actor for Elio Germano, best set design, best costumes, best make-up, best hairstyle, best editing and best sound to DROUGHT, by Paolo Virzì, which obtained nominations for Claudia Pandolfi as best leading actress, best supporting actress for Emanuela Fanelli, best composer for Franco Piersanti, best visual effects. Also scheduled are BONES AND ALL, a film by Luca Guadagnino nominated for best international film, ELVIS, by Baz Luhrmann, nominated for best international film, I’M RUNNING TO YOU, by Riccardo Milani, nominated for the David Giovani award. And again SEPTEMBER by Giulia Louise Steigerwalt, candidate for best directorial debut and best leading actress with Barbara Ronchi; BRADO, by Kim Rossi Stuart, nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay; MARCEL! by Jasmine Trinca, nominated for Best Directorial Debut.

Also arriving from 10 April at 21.15 on Sky Cinema Uno DIABOLIK – GINKO AT THE ATTACK! by the Manetti Bros., nominated for the best song, or rather “Se mi voglio” by Diodato, and the best visual effects; And from Monday 24 April at 21.15 on Sky Cinema Uno IL COLIBRÌ by Francesca Archibugi, which obtained the nominations for best non-original screenplay, best original song “Caro distant love” by Sergio Endrigo, performed by Marco Mengoni, best make-up, David Giovani .

DANTE by Pupi Avanti, candidate for best make-up and L’OMBRA DI CARAVAGGIO by Michele Placido, candidate for best scenography, best costumes, best make-up, best hairstyle, David Giovani and IL PATAFFIO, by Francesco Lagi, candidate for the best composer with Stefano Bollani and for the best original song “Culi culagni”, also by Bollani.

While from 6 April THE EIGHT MOUNTAINS, directed by Felix Van Groeningen and Charlotte Vandermeersh and nominated for best film, best director, best adapted screenplay, best producer (WILDSIDE a company of the FREMANTLE group; RUFUS; MENUETTO; PYRAMIDE PRODUCTIONS; VISION DISTRIBUTION; in collaboration with ELASTIC; with the participation of CANAL+ and CINÉ+; in collaboration with SKY), best leading actor for Alessandro Borghi and for Luca Marinelli, best supporting actor for Filippo Timi , Best Cinematography, Best Composer for Daniel Norgen, Best Art Direction, Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, David Giovani, On Sky Primafila also MARGINI by Niccolò Falsetti, candidate for best directorial debut and best original song.

Finally, THE CIRCLE by Sophie Chiarello arrives on Sky Documentaries in May, an Indigo Film production with Rai Cinema, in collaboration with Sky Documentaries. Candidate for best documentary (Cecilia Mangini Award) at the David di Donatello, it is a real social experiment, where for five years the director followed the pupils of an elementary class with her camera, thus capturing their special point of view on world. The Circle is not a documentary about children, but with children, a documentary that talks about them but also about adults. A portrait of today’s world in which tomorrow’s is reflected.
