Online Master’s Degree in Corporate Sustainability Management

Bdo Italia-Ipsoa promotes the sixth edition

After the success of the first five editions, which saw the involvement of prestigious companies – including Unieuro, Hdi, Bper Banca, Etica Sgr, Hera, Unipol, Webuild etc. – by popular demand Bdo Italy promotes the sixth edition of the Esg online master – sustainability advanced management: the management of sustainability in the companyorganized in collaboration with Wolters Kluwer legal & regulatory Italy through the Ipsoa training school.

Given the pervasiveness that ESG (environmental, social, governance) issues have now assumed within companies, the training course is aimed at a plurality of company figures: sustainability/csr managers, sustainability professionals and consultants, c-level (cfo, coo, ceo, managing director), entrepreneurs, members of boards of directors, supervisory bodies and boards of statutory auditors, investor relators and communication officers, as well as chartered accountants, labor consultants and lawyers.

In continuity with the first editions, the master – departing May 10, 2023 – proposes a structured program that explores all the main aspects of sustainability with the aim of providing an updated picture of the most recent regulatory developments and sharing the best practices adopted by companies, responding to the acceleration of processes and behaviours.

The issues related to corporate sustainability are, among other things, among the central elements of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (Pnrr) drawn up by the Italian government, which makes an effort on the part of organizations evident and necessary to ensure integration into the model business aspects of ESG aspects. Based on the requests of the numerous participants in the previous editions, in this sixth edition some new topics were introduced and explored such as software solutions to support non-financial reporting, diversity and gender certification and the new csrd (corporate sustainability reporting directive ) with details on esrs standards.

The training course will therefore make it possible to acquire the necessary technical skills to manage sustainability in the company at 360°, stimulating constant dialogue and comparison. It will also provide the basis for the effective management of performance improvement paths and for the use of methodologies, standards and operational tools, in order to improve managerial and organizational efficiency.

The sixth edition of the master is designed specifically for professionals who prefer concrete training with an operational slant. I am indeed foreseen exercises, case studies and the presence of company testimonials to enrich the analysis and debate of the topics covered as well as share the experiences of authoritative Italian corporate groups.

“We are living in the regulatory phase of sustainability: the European legislator dictates an agenda that is nothing short of challenging for medium-large companies with the aim of impacting the entire global economic system. Today everyone talks about sustainability but few have a conscious vision of the complexity of the impacts that ESG aspects have within corporate life and towards all stakeholders. This master was designed to provide participants with the necessary tools to navigate within this transitional reality, allowing them to grasp all the advantages that the company can obtain in the short and long term while acquiring skills and experience that are extremely useful for professional and personal growth” comments Carlo Luison, sustainable innovation leader of Bdo Italia.

“Wolters Kluwer legal & regulatory Italy, through the Ipsoa training school, has always been at the side of professionals and companies with the aim of supporting the professional development and skills that a constantly evolving economic context requires of professionals. Specifically, this Master offers a unique opportunity to acquire the necessary technical skills to manage sustainability in the company, today more than ever a highly topical issue”, underlines Paola Maiorana, director of the Ipsoa training school of Wolters Kluwer legal & regulatory Italy.

The course is divided into 12 modules included in 3 disciplinary areas (ESG strategy and governance; technical skills: understanding and governing the organization; ESG risks management and analysis tools), for a total of 48 hours. The lessons will be held in virtual format between 10 May and 26 July 2023.
