The Chinese giant returns to offer its MariSilicon X chip dedicated to photographs in a new smartphone

Oppo, in the frame of the launch event in Paris, has announced the debut of the new Reno8 series in Europe. Reno8 Pro 5G is equipped with the MariSilicon X imaging NPU, already seen on the Find X5 Pro. MariSilicon X also allows you to shoot videos thanks to the 4K Ultra Night mode for ultra-sharp and brighter shots, as well as 4K Ultra HDR content for details even more defined in both light and shadow areas. Charging is powered by 80W SuperVooc technology on the Reno8 Pro 5G, and Reno8 5G allows users to charge the 4500mAh battery to 50% in about 10 minutes and to 100% in 30 minutes. Additionally, thanks to the Battery Health Engine, Reno8 Series devices retain up to 80% of their original capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles, double the industry standard (800 cycles), making smartphone battery life the most long on the market.

The new Reno8 series features a unibody design that integrates the camera module and back cover, and the Reno8 Pro 5G is very compact, with a thickness of 7.34 mm and a weight of 183 grams. It is available in the Glazed Green and Glazed Black color variants. Reno8 5G, on the other hand, with a weight of 179 g and a thickness of 7.67 mm, is available in the colors Shimmer Gold and Shimmer Black and is characterized by the Oppo Glow effect that gives the smartphone a nuanced appearance and reduces fingerprints. Reno8 Pro 5G and Reno8 5G devices are also equipped with a high refresh rate AMOLED display. Reno8 Pro 5G also features the thinnest bezels of all devices in the family. The Pro model is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX processor and Ultra-Conductive cooling system, along with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Reno8 5G is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC and Super-Conductive Vapor Chamber (VC) liquid cooling system to improve cooling performance.

Oppo also launched Pad Air, the company’s first tablet available in Europe. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 mobile platform, the Pad Air features a 10.36-inch 2K display and four speakers with Dolby Atmos support. With 440g and 6.94mm thick and a metal body, the tablet appears light and strong. The 7,100mAh battery offers over 10 hours of continuous video consumption. We are currently reorganizing our commercial operations in this area and expanding our presence to 21 countries. In the future, we will continue to offer innovative technologies to users with a more unified product portfolio across Europe, ”said Billy Zhang, Vice President of Overseas Sales and Services.
