Pakistani women’s rights activist and 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner shines in Ralph Lauren’s silver sequined hooded dress Malala Yousafzai debuted on the champagne carpet of the 95th Academy Awards (LA DIRETTA), which in the night between 12 and 13 March is welcoming all the stars of Hollywood to the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles. Malala, accompanied by her husband Asser Malik, will participate in the prestigious film ceremony as executive producer of Stranger at the Gatecandidate in the category Best documentary short. “With my company I want to work with women and young people, create programs of all kinds and thus connect people around the world,” said the activist.
THE DOCUMENTARY
The short documentary Stranger at the Gate, directed by Joshua Steftel, tells the story of Richard “Mac” McKinney, a Marine who plans a terrorist attack on a small-town American mosque. After crossing paths with members of the community, his plans take an unexpected turn.
