Petrol drops below 1.8 euros per litre, to its lowest level since the beginning of the year


According to Staffetta Quotidiana’s calculations, diesel fuel is also falling, to the levels of late July-early August. Self-service petrol drops to 1,798 euros/litre, self-service diesel to 1,773 euros/litre

The national average price of petrol fell below the threshold of 1.8 euros per litre, reaching a new low for the year. This is what emerges from Staffetta Quotidiana’s calculations of the average prices charged communicated by managers to the Price Observatory of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy. Diesel fuel also drops, to the levels of late July-early August. Self-service petrol drops to 1,798 euros/litre (-2 thousandths, companies 1,799, white pumps 1,796), self-service diesel drops to 1,773 euros/litre (-2, companies 1,775, white pumps 1,768).

The numbers of Staffetta Quotidiana

Staffetta Quotidiana specifies that this morning Eni reduced the recommended prices of petrol and diesel by one cent per liter, while a reduction was recorded for IP. On the plants served, petrol costs on average 1,940 euros/litre (-2, companies 1,978, white pumps 1,862), while the price of diesel has fallen to 1,914 euros/litre (-2, companies 1,954, white pumps 1,833). The LPG served is at 0.719 euros/litre (-1, companies 0.727, white pumps 0.710), methane at 1.455 euros/kg (-2, companies 1.458, white pumps 1.453), LNG at 1.411 euros/kg (- 16, companies 1,429 euro/kg, white pumps 1,397 euro/kg).
