Los Angeles County has agreed to pay Vanessa Bryant and three of her daughters nearly $30 million to settle a lawsuit and potential claims related to sharing vivid photos of the January 2020 helicopter crash in which her husband, La basketball star Kobe Bryant, and one of their daughters, along with seven other people. The terms of the agreement
The settlement includes $15 million a jury awarded Vanessa Bryant in August, with additional funds to settle potential claims from her daughters. The shock photos were shared privately by some county police and firefighters. “Today marks the culmination of Ms. Bryant’s courageous battle to hold those involved in this grotesque conduct to account,” Luis Li, her attorney, said in a statement. “She fought for her husband, her daughter and all those in the community whose deceased family was treated with similar disrespect. We hope her victory at the trial and this settlement will end this practice.” she added.
