Piazza Affari, the Ftse Mib closes above 27 thousand points

Closing of the week in solid positive territory for Piazza Affari, pushed by the indications according to which the Omicron variant could be less dangerous than the Delta strain (even if more contagious).

On the Ftse Mib, which stopped above 27,000 at 27,016.22 points (+ 0.7%), the jump recorded by CNH Industrial shares (+ 3.45%) stands out after the go-ahead of the extraordinary shareholders’ meeting for the demerger of Iveco.

In the industrial sector, positive performances were also recorded by Pirelli and Stellantis, up respectively by 1.36 and 0.89%. A positive day also for public utility companies, with + 1.51% from A2A, + 0.82% from Terna and + 0.58% from Enel.

According to the newspapers, the board of directors of the latter and that of Intesa Sanpaolo (+ 0.92%) have approved the joint acquisition of 1.5 billion of Mooney, the former Sisal Pay. On February 3, the institute led by Carlo Messina will present the new business plan. Among the credit institutions there was also a plus for UniCredit (+ 0.51%) while BPER Banca left 0.87% on the field.

Among the best performances we find that of Assicurazioni Generali (+ 1.33%) which made it known that it wanted to exercise the early repayment option on all outstanding perpetual subordinated debt securities belonging to the series called “£ 495,000,000 6.416 for one hundred”.
