Arrives today, February 17, Trustfalls, the new album by P!nk. An album that marks the return of the singer-songwriter and pop icon 4 years after Hurts 2B Human of 2019. But that’s not all: P!nk takes to the international stages again with the “Summer Carnival 2023 Tour”, kicking off from Toronto on July 24th. Here are 5 songs by the artist that still make us dance (and not only).
Iconic song, iconic video. It’s 2001 when P!nk participates in the remake of the 1975 hit Lady Marmalade by Patti LaBelle with Christina Aguilera, Lil’ Kim and Missy Elliott. Song later included in the soundtrack of the film Moulin Rouge!. Unforgettable is the video clip, crowned by MTV Video of The Year and Best Video from a Film, in which the four artists identify with the style of 20th century dancers. The song also wins the Grammy Award for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals.
Get the party started
It is one of Pink’s biggest hits, the first single from her second studio album Missundaztood. It reached the top 10 in almost every country where the record was released. The video is also one that fans remember: a wild evening with a friend, a place where, among others, Gwen Stefani and Kevin Federline appear. At the MTV Video Music Awards 2002 with the video the singer wins in the categories Best Female Video and Best Dance Video.
Taken from P!nk’s third album, Try This, the song in 2004 brings the singer her second Grammy Award, in the Best Female Rock Vocal Performance category. The video has a western setting: the artist arrives in a saloon where she ends up causing an uproar in front of the eyes of the sheriff – played by Jeremy Renner – and dancing on the bar counter together with other women, who are none other than the Pussycat Dolls.
God is a DJ
It is certainly one of P!ink’s most famous songs, despite having achieved less success than others in terms of charts. Included in the soundtrack of the film mean girlswho does not recognize the famous refrain? If God is a DJ / Life is a dance floor / Love is the rhythm / You are the music.
Single taken from The truth about love, P!nk’s sixth album, is a melancholy rock ballad. In Italy, thanks to this single, the artist returns to the Top 5 ten years later Get the party started. And again, in 2014 the song returns to the fifth position of the ranking of our country after being used in the commercial of the eighth season of X Factor.
