Turin could be the city chosen to host one of the dates of Spring Sound 2024. The anticipation comes from the newspaper The Republicwhich clearly reports that the Municipality and the Piedmont Region are in talks with the Catalan company that organizes the famous festival to be able to bring the musical event to the city that has already hosted Eurovision 2022.
Primavera Sound arrives in Turin
Next year one of the dates of Primavera Sound, the Spanish indie music festival, could take place in Turin. Apparently, in fact, for 2024 it has not yet been confirmed the Madrid date, which could be replaced by the Italian one – assuming confirmation arrives -. According to reports from the newspaper The Republicthe Municipality is in talks with the Catalan organization, and could soon issue an official announcement.
“Another Piedmontese company specializing in the organization of large events and concerts is acting as intermediary, but many people are working behind the scenes (politicians, technicians, cultural operators) to define the details and leave nothing to chance. The stakes for the city and for the whole territory are very high with new possibilities of international visibility and benefits for tourism, commerce and hospitality”, writes the daily.
If this were real, then Turin should be preparing to host a stage of the Spring Sound In the first weekend of June, simultaneously with the demonstrations in Spain and Portugal. As for the location, it is very likely that it will be the Dora Park to host the event. On the other hand, the Kappa Future Festivaland the organizers identified it as the most suitable space in the whole city (also due to the lack of viable alternatives).
The most loved festival of the summer
Launched for the first time back in 2001, the Primavera Sound Festival has become one of the most popular summer events for indie and pop-rock music lovers. Compared to Coachella oa Glastonbury, the festival usually takes place on the first weekend of June, offering the public live performances by internationally renowned artists. This year, for example, the line-up boasted the presence of Depeche Mode, Kendrick Lamar, Blur, Rosalía, Halsey, Calvin Harris, St. Vincent and Måneskin.
