Prisma Juve investigation, the Santoriello case breaks out: the shocking sentences of the prosecutor

“Tifo Napoli and as a prosecutor I’m anti-Juventus,” the magistrate said at a public meeting in 2019

“I admit it, I follow and am a huge fan of Napoli and I hate Juventus. As a public prosecutor I am anti-Juventus, against thievery on the pitch”. These are the sentences of the prosecutor Ciro Santoriello, today grappling with the Prisma investigation into Juventus’ accounts, pronounced almost 4 years ago at a conference and immortalized in a video shot at the Spazio Chiossetto in Milan on 14 June 2019, during a meeting on balance sheets and capital gains between lawyers and specialized jurists. In another video, the speaker, a lawyer, tells Santoriello “we remain distant on the fact that you are a prosecutor and I am a lawyer, you support Napoli and I support Inter”, which triggers the joking reply: “Oh well, come on: enough, no Juventus”.

After the sentences, widely reported by the newspapers, the Minister of Sport, Andrea Abodi, tried to extinguish the controversy on Twitter, without success. The hashtag #Santoriello is at the top of the social trend topics with over 11,000 tweets that rekindle the story. Abodi, last night, however, had tweeted: “I have seen, listened to and reported, in compliance with the roles, for the appropriate checks and evaluations. For now, I think it is correct that I stop here”.
