Sky today unveils some preview images of the second season of the sci-fi thriller Sky Original Lazarus Projectwhose debut is expected exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW soon.

Produced by the award-winning team at Urban Myth Films, in association with Sky Studios, the epic, adrenaline-pumping series is written by BAFTA-nominated Joe Barton and Howard Overman (War of the Worlds, Misfits), and sees the return among the protagonists of Paapa Essiedu, Anjli Mohindra, Charly Clive, Rudi Dharmalingam, Caroline Quentin and Tom Burke. The cast of the new episodes includes Colin Salmon (Resident Evil, Limitless), Royce Pierreson (The irregulars of Baker Street, The Witcher), Safia Oakley-Green (Sherwood), Lorne MacFayden (Vigil – Survey on board), Zoe Telford (genius), Sam Troughton (The Outlaws) and James Atherton (Hollyoaks).
LAZARUS PROJECT 2, THE PLOT
The fight to secure the future has never been so intense. When the world gets stuck in a time loop – where every three weeks the world ends – the Lazarus team must race against time to find a solution before humanity is wiped out forever. Among them is steadfast Special Agent George (Paapa Essiedu), who has fallen from grace after betraying the organization in the name of love. George is determined to redeem himself and win back the trust of his friends, his colleagues and the love of his life. But when he discovers that the cause he’s fighting is more sinister than it appears, George begins to suspect that the only person he can truly trust is himself.

The second season of Lazarus Project was commissioned by Paul Gilbert, Commissioning Editor at Sky Studios, for Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content at Sky UK. It is produced by Urban Myth Films in association with Sky Studios. Executive producers of the series are Joe Barton, Johnny Capps and Julian Murphy for Urban Myth Films and Paul Gilbert for Sky Studios. The series is directed by Carl Tibbets, Pier Wilkie and Sean Spencer. NBCUniversal Global Distribution is the international distributor of the series on behalf of Sky Studios.
