New trailer and new poster for Queen Charlotte, prequel to Bridgerton highly anticipated by the many fans of the period drama TV series produced by Shondaland for Netflix. The series will arrive on May 4 on Netflix, also visible on Sky Glass, Sky Q and via the app on the Now Smart Stick. You can see the trailer of Queen Charlotte in the video at the top of this page. A six episode miniseries

Queen Charlotte is a miniseries consisting of six episodes. Shonda Rhimes with her Shondaland is showrunner, executive producer and writer. Directed by Tom Verica (Zodiacs, Lie to Me, The rules of the perfect crime), executive producer Betsy Beers.

QUEEN CHARLOTTETHE PLOT

Dedicated to the rise to power of Queen Charlotte, this prequel to the Bridgerton universe tells how the marriage of the young queen to King George represented not only a great love story, but also a social change, leading to the birth of the high English society in which the Bridgerton characters live.

QUEEN CHARLOTTETHE CAST

Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury) and Ruth Gemmell (Lady Violet Bridgerton) reprise their roles as Bridgerton in this miniseries. India Amarteifio (Line of Duty) plays the young Queen Charlotte, Michelle Fairley (Gangs of London) the princess Augusta, Corey Mylchreest (The Sandman) the young King George, and Arsema Thomas the young Agatha Danbury. Also starring Sam Clemmett (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – West End and Broadway, The War Below) as young Brimsley, Freddie Dennis (The Nevers) as Reynolds and Richard Cunningham (The Witcher) as Lord Bute. Finally, Tunji Kasim (Nancy Drew) plays Adolphus, Rob Maloney (Casualty) the royal doctor, Cyril Nri (Cucumber) Lord Danbury, and Hugh Sachs (Bridgerton 1 and 2) Brimsley (as an elder).
