Rape? For Gruber the fault of porn. But Rocco Siffredi sinks: “It’s a problem of society”

“It is the violence inherent in today’s society that consequently also spills over into our industry” the hard actor and director tells Adnkronos

Does Porn Fuel Violence? I disagree, if anything it’s the other way around“. Thus to Adnkronos the hard actor and director Rocco Siffredi, commenting on an article by Lilly Gruber in which the journalist, from the columns of 7, the week of Corriere della Sera, identifies in rampant online pornography, the culprit, at least partially, the increase in cases of violence against women and the recent rapes – such as that of Caivano or Palermo – committed more and more by very young boys.

“The problem underlying this phenomenon is that sex, today, is also accessible to minors and in an indiscriminate way. Sex education should be given to the youngest, but also technological education so that everyone knows what to see or not see on the own mobile phone. It is not true, however, that porn incites violence against women or the exploitation of the female body; if anything, it is the violence inherent in today’s society that consequently also spills over into porn”, explains Siffredi.

“I have been a porn actor for forty years – continues the giant from Ortona, as it is called in its environment – and over the years I have seen this world change. When I started, in the 80s, sex was then, in the 90s, we started shooting the first scenes of anal intercourse, but there was little violence, that took over in the 2000s, with the advent of the internet. actors we had a script, there was a story behind the sex scenes. Today this is no longer the case. Today there are platforms that are based on the collection of user preferences, like databases, which then, depending on what people they want to see, then they prepare content”.

And among these, it would seem that the requests for very strong sex scenes, such as gang-bang scenes and the like, are growing strongly. “I’ve always considered the porn industry to reflect society’s feelings. And if there’s an increase in the demand for this type of scene, it’s because there’s an increase in violence. By now many porn directors – not all fortunately, but some yes – have stopped caring about the well-being of the actresses; for example, does the woman suffer from triple anal penetration? She takes a shot to anesthetize her. We don’t realize that in this way, what anesthetizes, along with everything else, is the conscience of our young people, left alone with a telephone in their hand that opens up a world that they are unable to manage and understand. Porn videos shouldn’t replace sex education. Unfortunately in our society they do.”
