Berniniopening his audition today, at the joint Culture Commissions of the Chamber and Senate, on the programmatic lines of his dicastery in which he also underlined the role of the Afam. “It is a privilege for me to return to these classrooms as Minister of the Republic, and I find it important and necessary to immediately establish a relationship of collaboration with Parliament which I hope will be constant on the priorities of the university, higher education and research” and “on the my own, I am ready not only to be listened to by you, but also to listen to you carefully, on matters within the competence of the Ministry that I have the honor of leading” said Bernini.
“Art and science: these are the two pillars that underpin our identity, which have always characterized Italy. Michelangelo and Leonardo, Deledda and Fermi, Muti and George Parisi: giants of the past and present, whose legacy, talent, genius we must not only collect and honor, but pass on to the new generations by building paths, structures, systems capable of multiplying growth opportunities for our country” he continued the minister underlining that “our mission is not enough to recognize or celebrate Italian skills, present or past, our excellence must be able to count on the country system and be supported by institutions, in Italy and abroad.
