The Giallorossi coach: “I really liked the first half”
“I couldn’t be happier.” Daniele De Rossi smiles after his debut as Roma coach. The Giallorossi beat Verona 2-1. “It was pleasant. When I came to watch the matches there was always great affection, I experience that affection every day in the city. Now I have a different role and therefore there was great emotion but also great tension because I have a job to do. We need to reconcile the two things and thank people for their affection. I couldn’t be happier”, says De Rossi to Dazn.
The former footballer, at the end of the match, went under the Curva Sud: “One of the moments that will be put in the albums of my career. I once said ‘if only I had had two careers to give to Roma’… Now maybe the second was given to me…let’s see how long it will last. Now I have to work. The love of these people is on my shoulders. Today I went under the curve to greet the fans who welcomed me but it’s not that I will go every time”, notes De Rossi.
Match chapter: “I really liked the first half. If we had played better in the second half we would probably all have left happier. But the 3 points were important and we must celebrate the victories. We must recreate enthusiasm.”
