Second and third pole, the future of the opposition

There is a pole in the government, the center-right, which experiences a unity that may be at risk but is exceptionally resilient. And that there is room for opposition, at most, for two poles. The new episode of “La Guida”

Beyond the less obvious words on the intention to make a tough opposition, without discounts and, at the same time, proactive, which we felt almost invariable during the consultations at Colle, this legislature could be constituent – if not for the Republic – precisely for the oppositions. Movements that will change the political geography are already underway. They take into account – inevitably if not explicitly – that there is a pole in the government – the center-right, which experiences a unity that may be at risk but is exceptionally resilient. And that there is room for opposition, at most, for two poles.

Two oppositions, not three

The Progressive – Labor, who calmly and chalk should see an alliance between the Democratic Party and the Cinquestelle reconstituted with more will and less necessity. And a third pole, still in search of a stable position in political geography but which could aspire to occupy a space similar to that of Forza Italia, perhaps purified from the employer component of that party, which has made it so the vast fortune in past but, for some time, it seems capable of questioning even its future existence.

The political space of Forza Italia and the third pole

If this analysis is correct, that area becomes contestable, both for the potential electorate, and for a possible future role of aid to the majority, should it be needed. Many believe they saw a glimpse of it in the vote that led to the election of Ignazio La Russa as president of the Senate. A first clue. The second is proof.
