Senna, Gabriel Leone will play Ayrton in the Netflix miniseries


Gabriel Leone will play the role of the legendary Ayrton Senna da Silva (1960-1994) in Seinethe Netflix miniseries that portrays for the first time the epic adventures and triumphs of the driver who became a national hero of Brazil and conquered the whole world inside and outside the Formula 1 tracks. The show is produced by Gullane and sees the active participation of the family of the pilot, with the Brazilian filmmaker Vicente Amorim in the role of showrunner and director of the series together with Julia Rezende.
“It is a huge responsibility and a great honor to be able to represent a legend who has inspired so many people with his life, showing Brazilian sporting talent to the world,” said actor Gabriel Leone in an official statement reported by the Netflix website. “Being able to bring this story to millions of people in countless countries through Netflix leads me to see this role as one of the most important of my career.”

An actor who fits the part perfectly

The casting choice was successful, as the director Amorim points out: “Gabriel Leone has the charisma, intensity and gentleness of Senna”.

A miniseries consisting of six episodes

Over the course of six episodes, Seine intends to reveal the personality and personal relationships of the three-time F1 world champion, tracing the arc of his triumphs, his disappointments, joys and pains he experienced.
The series will start right from the beginning, with a story that begins at the dawn of Ayrton Senna’s automotive career, when the Brazilian driver moved to England to compete in Formula Ford.
The miniseries will end with the tragic epilogue that put an end to the driver’s career but above all to his life: we are talking about the fatal accident that took place at Imola during the San Marino Grand Prix.
