On April 8 (starting at 10), the best Italian Hip Hop and Street Dance Crews will compete on the stage of the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua to win a place at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship and Street Dance scheduled in Phoenix (Arizona) from July 30th to August 6th. The Crews who will pass the afternoon preliminary stage will perform in an evening of great entertainment led by Mc and Dj Kristine and animated by the Portuguese DJ and producer Gui Mees. Six categories in the competition, made up of 5 to 9 dancers who are. This is the list: Junior (from 7 to 12 years), Varsity (from 13 to 17 years), Adult (over 18). The Mini Crew category, made up of 3 dancers, and the Junior Varsity Mega Crew and Mega Crew made up of 10 to 40 dancers. The Crews who qualify in Padua will be able to represent Italy at the World Hip Hop Dance Championship and will compete against other Crews from over 50 countries around the world.
Hip Hop International Italy is directed by Sergio Iapino, who has created what will be an incredible experience for the Italian Dance Community. “I’ve been passionate about hip hop for several years and I’m really happy that this type of dance is becoming increasingly popular in Italy as well – he said – where it’s starting to arouse more and more interest, both in young people and in the general public” . The Crews will compete in front of an international jury composed of certified and established judges, Del Mak (England), Vitor Kpez (Portugal), Andreas Maintz (Germany), Adrienn Rez (Hungary), Jöel 91Pact (France), Miss Funk (Italy ). The judges will be led by Meg Vasselli (Italy), International Jury Head and Technical Director of Hip Hop International Italy.
Thousands of spectators will follow the hundreds of artists who will perform on the stage of the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua, made available free of charge by Valeria Arzenton, enlightened producer and founder of ZedLive for live shows. “Hip hop is a complete discipline, a combination of dance and sport that some kids express reaching very high levels – explained Valeria Arzenton – it seemed right to me to offer them a stage that would provide them with the opportunity to enchant the public with their talent, as happened to me the first time I was able to admire them. I hope that this will become a fixed annual appointment for the Gran Teatro Geox in Padua”.
