- A man opened fire in Brussels, in the city center, near Place Saintelette, between boulevard du Neuvième de Ligne and Sainctelette. The shooting occurred around 7.15pm of 16 October, the Belgium – Sweden match was played in the evening which was first suspended and then canceled in light of the incident

- After saying his name and surname, again in the video the terrorist explained that he was “a fighter for Allah”. “I’m from the Islamic State. We love those who love us – he added – and we hate those who hate us. We live for our religion and we die for our religion.” “Your brother took revenge in the name of Muslims – he said again – So far I have killed 3 Swedes. BELGIUM STRENGTHENS ALERT LEVEL

THE PRIME MINISTER’S CONDOLENCES
- The Prime Minister of Belgium, Alexander De Crooexpressed the “most sincere condolences to the loved ones of the victims of the cowardly attack in Brussels”. He then confirmed that he went with the Ministers of Justice and the Interior to the National Crisis Center for monitor the situation and asked the citizens of Brussels “to be vigilant”
