Sicily, Barbagallo (Pd): ”Centre-right is not defeated, in the city to vote to build a broad coalition” – Video

“The center-right in Sicily has not won. To beat it, it is necessary to build the widest possible coalition. We have already tried it in the recent regional elections but unfortunately, not due to the responsibility of the Democratic Party, they did not go well. Today we have the task of trying again” . This was stated in a video interview with AdnKronos by the national parliamentarian Dem Anthony Barbagallo. “In Catania, Syracuse, Ragusa and Trapani – adds the deputy referring to the forthcoming administrations of 28 May – and in all the other Municipalities called to vote we need to build an alliance that is as broad as possible”.

“The Archbishop of Catania in the homily of Sant’Agata, just a few days ago – Barbagallo points out – made a peremptory appeal for renewal, to the circumstance that it is necessary to reach out to the younger generations, to mark a discontinuity with respect to some questionable management of the past of a city that is on its knees. The Democratic Party cannot fail to be on the same wavelength”.

“I believe – underlines the national parliamentarian – that the coalition must first be built and once there is a common vision of the city, together with other political and civic forces, a step forward must be taken on the name”. “In this sense – Barbagallo concludes – we stick to our rules and it will be shared and discussed in the bodies”.
