Sisal, inaugurated ‘FutureS’, an event to look at future challenges

At the center of the first meeting is innovation as a competitiveness lever for the country and companies

Sisal inaugurates ‘FutureS’ in Rome, a series of meetings to stimulate discussion with key players on the issues that outline the future of the country. The first event, held today at the Coffee House of Palazzo Colonna in Rome, focused attention on the importance of innovation as a competitiveness lever for Italy and its businesses.

The event, moderated by the Rai journalist and presenter Barbara Carfagna, after an institutional greeting from Aurelio Regina, president of Sisal, began with an interview with Alec Ross, author of world-wide best-sellers, entrepreneur and investor, who he served as a State Department innovation advisor to Hillary Clinton and led technology policy for Barack Obama’s presidential campaign.

This was followed by a panel discussion on issues related to innovation, which highlighted the points of view of Massimo Carnelos, head of the Technology and Startup Innovation Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Marina Geymonat, director, enterprise data, ai and analytics by Capgemini Invent and Francesco Durante, CEO of Sisal.

The event strongly underlined the importance of synergistic collaboration between the public and private sectors to support and strengthen the economic and social fabric of our country, preparing us to face the challenges and seize the opportunities that the future holds for us.
