It must have been the release of The Batman in cinemas around the world to make Paramount Pictures decide to release the new trailer for Sonic 2? Entitled Blue Justicethe video gives us a small preview on the highly anticipated new adventure of the blue hedgehogshowing us a police chase, while the protagonist mimics Batman’s deep, austere voice: “I’ve been called by many names: revenge, supernova … but you can call me (cough and” sorry! “) Blue Justice!”
The previews of the trailer
Thanks to the new video released, we can observe a giant mecha by Dr Robotnik and the debut of Knuckles and Tales (with the voices of actors Idris Elba and Colleen O’Shaughnessey). Knuckles’ big movie debut may have a similar story to that of the 1994 video game, in which the red echidna is maneuvered by Robotnik against Sonic. The theatrical release was set for April 7, 2022 and the plot seems destined to follow the original idea of the series, also thanks to the great success already achieved by the first film.
The feature film, sequel to Sonic – The Movie, is inspired by the Sega videogame franchise of the same name. Sonic 2 will see again directed by Jeff Fowlerwhich has already promised to step up the action scenes, the fun and add new characters, including Knuckles and Tails aka Scheggia, the latter already introduced in the credits of the first film. Dr. Robotnik, aka Dr. Eggman, will still have the face of Jim Carrey.
The plot

Sonic (voice of Ben Schwartz), after settling in Green Hills, is ready for more freedom. So Maddie (Tika Sumpter) and Tom (James Marsden) agree to leave him alone at home as they leave for vacation. When the couple leaves the city, iDr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) makes his comeback, this time followed by the echidna Knuckles (voice of Idris Elba) and they set out in search of an emerald capable of building and destroying humanity. Sonic is aided by his faithful companion, Tails (voice of Colleen O’Shaugnessey) with whom embarks on a journey to find the emerald, before it’s too late.
