The bianconeri rise towards the European zones of the standings
Juventus wins 2-0 on the Spezia field in the match valid for the 23rd day of Serie A 2022-2023 and continues the run-up towards the European areas of the standings. Juve, penalized by 15 points in the capital gains process, rises to 32. Spezia, however, with 19 points remains entangled in the area in order not to relegate. The bianconeri coached by Allegri found victory with one goal in each half, in a match in which the Ligurians created many chances but achieved very little. Juve broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute through Kean. The attacker turns over Kostic’s perfect cross and holes Marchetti, who came on for Dragowski: 0-1.
The goal shakes Spezia, who in the end of the first fraction create two chances with Shomurodov: the attacker, however, doesn’t sting. The hosts raise the pressure at the start of the second half and for a good quarter of an hour the match is one-way. Juve, after a wasted chance by Kean in the 48th minute, struggled to get out of their own half. Spezia has the equalizer on their feet, but Gyasi and Shomurodov waste. In the moment of greatest difficulty, the bianconeri find the doubling that closes the games. Di Maria takes care of it, in the 66th minute, to sign the 2-0 with a diagonal that leaves no way out for Marchetti. A couple of excellent saves by Perin, on the other side, sealed the result and blocked any attempt at a Ligurian comeback.
