In an interview given to GQ Finn Wolfhardinterpreter of Mike Wheeler in the Netflix series Stranger Thingsexpressed admiration for the setmate Noah Schnapp, who came out in a TikTok video last January. “When I finally told my friends and family that I was gay after keeping it a secret for 18 years they all said ‘we know’,” explained the actor, who accompanied the video with the caption “I guess I’m more similar to Will than I thought,” a clear reference to Will Byers, the homosexual teenager played in the series. “When I saw it, I just had a big smile on my face” Wolfhard said. “I was just really proud of him”.

In May the cast of Stranger Thingswhich also deploys Millie Bobby Brown, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo And Caleb McLaughlin, will begin filming the fifth and final season of the series. “We don’t talk to each other every day anyway, and not why…do you text your cousins every day? Probably not. They are our family. We talk to each other on each other’s birthdays. We talk to each other once in a while. But the same way a family works, if you ever need anything, they are there” Wolfhard said.
