There’s very little left until filming begins on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things. The cast and crew of the successful Netflix series also visible on Sky Glass, Sky Q and via the Now Smart Stick app will meet again in January for the first take. The American website broke the news Deadlinewhich cites sources within the production mentioning two possible dates for the official start: January 8th or even three days earlier, the 5th.
The stop for strikes
Filming of the fifth season of Stranger Things they should have started last May, but the screenwriters’ and authors’ strike broke out at the beginning of the month. Although the scripts were already ready, the production did not want to embark on filming without having the screenwriters on set for any corrections and therefore postponed everything. Now that first the WGA and then SAG-AFTRA (the actors’ union) have reached agreements for the renewal of contracts and have ended their respective strikes, we can start again.
