Stranger Things, the first spin-off will be animated and set in Tokyo

The site What’s on Netflix announced that the streaming platform would be working on an animated spin-off of Stranger Things set in 1980s Tokyo. At the moment Netflix has not confirmed this indiscretion keeping the matter confidential, the title of the work would be Stranger Things Tokyo.

Stranger Things is undoubtedly one of Netflix’s most popular productions (also visible on Sky Q and via the app on the Now Smart Stick). The fourth season of the series has met with great success internationally preparing the public for the fifth and final season, the release date of which has not yet been announced, however. The only information revealed is the title of the first episode, namely ‘Chapter One: The Crawl’.

Coming now to what reported by What’s on Netflixthe site revealed that the Duffer brothers they would be working on the first in a series of spin-offs titled Stranger Things Tokyo.

The development of the project would have begun in the first months of 2021 and the protagonists would be twins who love video games; the story would be set in 1980s Tokyo.

Furthermore, the magazine reported a possible synopsis of the work, the duration of which would be six hours: “An encounter with the Upside Down turns out to be a great adventure for video game-loving twin brothers living in the suburbs of 1980s Tokyo.”

All that remains is to wait to be able to know all the developments.
