The new Rai Uno fiction “Survivors”, with Lino Guanciale, started on Monday 3 October in prime time: do you know where it was filmed?
Always the holder of the audience record as far as fiction is concerned, Rai Uno has been offering another of its magnificent products since last Monday 3 October. With Survivorsa new production that sees the protagonist Linen Pillowthe thriller genre lands in prime time on the flagship network of state TV.
That’s right: mystery is the main ingredient of the events told through the extraordinary skill of the cast of actors. A work resulting from the creativity of four students of the first Master of Serial Writing launched by Rai Fiction. A bet that offers the opportunity for new talents to emerge and put into practice what they have learned.
Through the narration of the journey of a group of passengers on the Arianna boat departing from the port of Genoa, great emphasis is also placed on the psychological aspect of the protagonists. The latter live a terrible experience on board the boat, which disappears from the radar a few days after the start of the trip. After a year, the boat is finally found, but half of the crew is not there.
The background of the story is obviously the Ligurian capital and many scenes were shot in the port of the city, which is going through a new phase of flowering thanks first of all to the redevelopment works of the Old Port developed by the famous architect Renzo Piano in the now distant 1992.
A pole of attraction for thousands of tourists, you can visit the glass and steel Biosphere with its tropical plants and animals, the Bigo, the Party Square with an elevator that rises up to 40 meters from which to enjoy a view spectacular. But what are the other places besides the port that accompanied the filming of Survivors?

Lots of action, suspense and a pinch of mystery surrounds the plot of Survivors, which can count on talented actors as its main protagonist. Although, as anticipated, most of the scenes take place in the port, you can also see other very famous places in Genoa.
We can mention in this regard the main street and the historic center, the hills and the majestic buildings. Obviously, as this is an action-packed story, the scenes of the storm engulfing the passengers on the boat are quite ‘eventful’. It was therefore also necessary to shoot indoors and in sets suitable to accommodate the most dynamic shots. Such as, for example, television studios.
As the director Carmine Elia explains, the images and the locations have great importance in this new series, because they serve to tell the human journey of the characters.
