“Brands in general and consumer brands in particular have always played a leadership role over the years on certain issues; indeed, the success of brands over the decades has often occurred precisely because they intercepted priorities in all areas.” Thus Vittorio Cino, general director of Centromarca, in his speech in the panel ‘The actions and commitments of the Branded Industry for sustainable development’ on the occasion of the CSR and Social Innovation Exhibition, underway in Milan.
“The brand is such if it is capable of exercising leadership on current phenomena of particular social, environmental, cultural and economic impact”, he underlines.
“Branded industry and brands also show a certain leadership on sustainability issues, especially when compared to the industry average: this represents a stage in a path that is constantly evolving”, he says regarding the research, presented during the event, ‘Actions and commitments for the sustainable development of the branded industry in Italy’, created in collaboration with the Department of Business Economics of the Roma Tre University.
