Switch Oled Pokémon version Scarlet and Violet coming November 4th

Nintendo announces a special edition of its console dedicated to the next Pokémon adventure

Nintendo has announced the release of a special edition of Switch OLED on the occasion of the launch of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the new titles of the main series of the saga. The console will be available in select stores and will be fully decorated with a Pokémon theme, although it will not include the game in either of its two versions. It will be available from November 4 and the dock will be white with the two legendary Pokémon Koraidon and Miraidon imprinted, while on the back of the base we find the unmistakable Poké balls. On the console we find the three starter Pokémon on the back, the ones that you can choose at the beginning of the adventure: Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly. On the Joy-Con, one red and one purple, are the emblems of the Naranja and Uva schools, which appear in the two versions of the game. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be available on Switch from November 18th. The Pokémon franchise knows no setbacks in terms of public satisfaction: 35 million copies of titles were sold worldwide in the fiscal year just ended. Of these, Pokémon Legends: Arceus placed 12.64 million units in physical and digital, with Shining Pearl and Shining Diamond surpassing it at 14.65 million. Previous titles also continued to sell very well: Sword and Shield placed another 3.18 million copies in 2021, and New Pokémon Snap 2.4 million. Same goes for the first two Pokémon titles released on Switch, Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee, with 1.25 million copies in the last year. To all these titles, released exclusively on Nintendo Switch, must be added those for 3DS, with over 9 million units sold more.
