The Befana dresses as a firefighter for the children of the Veneto hospitals

The children admitted to the Ca’ Foncello hospital in Treviso felt great emotion for the arrival of the witch who descended onto the pediatrics terrace from the fire brigade’s ladder. The arrival of this strange witch surrounded by several firefighters created a climate of great joy and wonder among the little ones, who received sweet treats and toys as per tradition.

The old lady, escorted by the firefighters, after delivering the gifts, also reached the bedridden children to deliver the gifts even to those who couldn’t get up. The initiative of the Treviso fire brigade command, represented by a large delegation led by commander Giuseppe Costa, was welcomed with special thanks by the health personnel, who follow the children in therapy with great care and dedication.

Strange witches dressed as firefighters also in the pediatric and neonatology department of the Angelo hospital in Mestre. The firefighters represented by the watchman Musolino Bruno, by the shift manager Cristiano Squizzato and accompanied by other personnel, were welcomed by the heads of the two departments. The witch-firefighters, accompanied by the staff of the wards, handed over the stockings offered by a hypermarket in the city to the excited and intrigued children, making the little patients smile.
