The cast returns to the historical characters who made BarLume famous: Filippo Timi still plays the role of the investigating bartender Massimo Viviani, Lucia Mascino those of Commissioner Fusco, the “vecchini” Alessandro Welcome (Emo), Marcello Martial (Gino), Atos Davini (Pylades), Massimo Paganelli (Aldo), while Enrica Guidi it’s the bartender Tizi, Stefano Fresi it’s Beppe Battaglia, stepbrother of Massimo e Corrado Guzzanti is Paolo Pasquali, a scam insurer of Venetian origins

In the first of the 2 new stories, I buy gold, after the idea of asking Tizi to marry him, Viviani finds himself begging for a place to sleep and having to return the ring of the proposal. But when Massimo arrives at the Compro Oro, the jeweler is lying on the ground in a pool of blood. La Fusco and her squad of police will try to solve the case, supervised by the head of the police Tassone. To help them there will be Viviani who, keeping his eyes on Tizi and Beppe, will also observe Emo and the couple of Italian Americans who ask for him
