Based on the famous animated series with which entire generations have grown up, The Zodiac Knights comes to the big screen live-action version. This film based on the manga saga of Saint Seiya promises to stay faithful to the original material and please enthusiasts and experts. At the cinema on 26, 27 and 28 June thanks to Eagle Pictures, The Zodiac Knights is directed by Tomek Baginski, written by Josh Campbell & Matt Struecken and Kiel Murray, and starring Mackenyu Arata, an actor also featured in one piece as Zoro.
The Zodiac Knights: the official plot of the film
Seiya is a stubborn street teenager who spends his time searching for his kidnapped sister and fighting for money. When one of his fights unwittingly unleashes mystical powers he never knew he had, Seiya finds himself caught up in a world of saints at warancient magical training and a goddess reincarnated who needs your protection. To survive, he will have to embrace his destiny and sacrifice everything to win his rightful place among the Knights of the Zodiac.

Alongside Arata, in the live action cast we find Famke Janssen, Madison Iseman, Diego Tinoco, Mark Dacascos, Nick Stahl and Sean Bean. Iseman plays the role of a young woman who wants to struggle with the “responsibility of harnessing the power of the goddess Athena”, while Bean plays Alman Kido, Seiya’s recruiter and mentor. Janssen is Guarda, leader of a secret organization that wants to seize the power of the goddess Athena. All the characters and part of the situations and settings take up the famous manga by Masami Kurumada, published from 1986 to 1990. To date, various TV series, anime films and spin-off manga have been made of the The Zodiac Knights.
