The looks on the Venice 2023 red carpet, the report cards of 3 September

The Sunday program of the Venice Film Festival 2023 makes room for La Bête, (in English, The beast), a film in Competition by the French director Bertrand Bonello who takes charge of parading in the front line in Venice, in the absence of its leading actors: Léa Seydoux and George MacKay. The director sports a light suit and poses with Elsa Jin, a highly regarded jewelry designer, whose creations have often been the stars of the red carpet. Complete with jacket for her too (decorated with one of her gorgeous brooches). Score: 7.5 (for both)

Looks with transparencies compared on the red carpet de La Bête. Producer Nancy Grant and Julia Faure, actress, wear them. There’s no match, however: the former opts for a refined dress suitable for the afternoon event, the latter gets everything wrong, from the top to the shoes. Rating: for Grant 8; for Faure 5

Camila Pinzon, Miss Colombia 2022, does not escape the temptation to wear a wedding dress style, an option that often unites the style choices of the guest stars at film kermesses. Already seen (and many times, unfortunately). Score: 6

Another dress too rich to be worn in the afternoon. We have seen several red dresses in the past days but all of them are definitely better than this one. For Magda Swider the vote is 5 (minus)

There is style, however, in the look chosen by Olivia Ross, the British actress appeared on the red carpet dedicated to Die Theorie von Allem, a film by Tim Kroeger in Competition at Venice 80. With ruffles (which always get noticed) you don’t take yourself too seriously. Approved. Rating: 7.5

The very short jacket of Jan Bulow, the German protagonist of Die Theorie von Allem born in 1996, he will make many lovers of the classic style turn up their noses. The truth is that the men’s wardrobe has evolved so much that it admits anything, even (and above all) on the red carpet. Rating: 7.5

With the red carpet of The Killer the parade of movie stars and more begins. Adriana Lima, who had already walked the red carpet in the Festival in recent days, returns in black with a winter dress dotted with light that reveals her back in a superb way. Score: 7

Cristina Parodi loves colors and on her second Venetian red carpet she proposes shades of purple. Score: 7

The fashion on the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival 2023 gave much prominence to the backside with backless dresses or heavily worked on the back. This by Rafa Kalimann is intriguing and feminine. Rating: 7.5

The dress with crisscrossing and drapes proves to be a winning choice again, as confirmed by Nilufar Addati who parades in white and with a soft hairdo, like a contemporary goddess. Score: 8

For Caterina Murino, the evening choice still includes black. In the wardrobe of the patroness of the Festival, a suit could not be missing, which is worn with a bustier top. The details are all to be admired. Luminous even in total black: Score: 8.5
