Brendan Fraser said he would be available to star in a fourth de film The Mummy.

After the disappointing takings of Dracula Untold – film that was supposed to be the first chapter of the new Dark Universe – Universal chose to replace Dracula with The Mummy as the first installment of the series.
However, the film did not obtain the hoped-for success, on the contrary it generated substantial losses: we are talking about about 100 million dollars of hole.

The protagonist of the acclaimed The Whale he said to Variety that “it’s hard to make a film like that (The Mummy). The ingredient we had been looking for in our Mummy, and which I didn’t find in the new movie, was fun. It was what was missing from that iteration. It was too much horror in the strict sense.
