Brendan Fraser said he would be available to star in a fourth de film The Mummy.

The actor – super acclaimed in The Whale by Darren Aronofsky and therefore today on the front pages and cover stories of every film magazine – he talked about it during an interview granted to Variety.

2017’s Mummy was directed by Alex Kurtzman and boasted a cast that was nothing short of exceptional (besides Cruise, Annabelle Wallis and Russell Crowe were on the set).

After the disappointing takings of Dracula Untold – film that was supposed to be the first chapter of the new Dark Universe – Universal chose to replace Dracula with The Mummy as the first installment of the series.
However, the film did not obtain the hoped-for success, on the contrary it generated substantial losses: we are talking about about 100 million dollars of hole.

The protagonist of the acclaimed The Whale he said to Variety that “it’s hard to make a film like that (The Mummy). The ingredient we had been looking for in our Mummy, and which I didn’t find in the new movie, was fun. It was what was missing from that iteration. It was too much horror in the strict sense. In my view The Mummy must be a thrilling ride, but not terrifying and scary. And I know how difficult it is to do it. I’ve tried it three times! ”.
