The cast of the series The Mystery of the Templars

Lisette Olivera plays the role of the protagonist Jess Valenzuela, while Zuri Reed is her friend who accompanies her on the treasure hunt. Antonio Cipriano is Oren, an egotistical wimp who knows her conspiracy theories very well and Jordan Rodrigues plays Jess’s best friend who has always been in love with her. Jake Austin Walker as Liam, a struggling musician who comes from a lineage of treasure hunters. And there are also two big stars in the cast, like Catherine Zeta Jones as a badass billionaire black-market antiquities expert and treasure hunter who lives by her own code, and Harvey Keitel who has previously starred in the franchise films and guest stars in the same Peter Sadusky role.

From film to series

In the 2004 film directed by Jon Turteltaub, the Glass family were passionate archaeologists who have been searching for a legendary treasure of the Knights Templar for six generations. Nicolas Cage was the protagonist who had an important clue and decides to follow it by organizing an expedition to the Arctic in the company of researchers and experts. The entire trilogy is adventurous and commercial, and the series feels faithful to the structure and soul of the cinematic original, but we’ll see what that looks like from mid-December.
