With the announcement of the nominations (HERE ALL THE NOMINATIONS), the wait for the long night of the Oscars® comes alive, which will decide the best films and the best artists of the year. And also this year Sky Cinema is the home of the Oscars®, with the awards ceremony of the 95th Academy Awards® What will be live on Sky and streaming on NOW.

Also, to celebrate this highly anticipated appointment and take viewers through the best of Oscar®-winning cinematography, from Saturday 4 to Friday 17 March Sky Cinema Collection (channel 303) becomes Sky Cinema Oscar®, a channel entirely dedicated to films awarded with the most coveted statuette, with over one hundred titles. A programming that in the night between Sunday 12 and Monday 13 Marchwill culminate with the direct from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles of the Academy Awards®. Finally, come on Sky some of this year’s nominated films are also available: ELVISnominated for eight awards including Best Picture, Best Actor with Austin ButlerBest Editing, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Costumes, Best Sound, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, already available on Sky Primafila, Monday 13 March at 21.15 on Sky Cinema Uno (and in the late evening on Sky Cinema Oscar®) and on NOW; THE BATMAN, already available on Sky and NOW, nominee for Best Visual Effects, Best Sound, and Best Makeup and Hairstyling; MRS HARRIS GOES TO PARIS, nominee for best costume design, from January 26 on demand on Sky Primafila.

Among the other Oscar®-awarded films offered on the channel, there are also hits from the last decade such as: Sam Mendes’ war masterpiece with George MacKay 1917 (awarded for photography, special effects, sound); the musical by Damien Chazelle with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone LA LA LAND , winner of six statuettes: direction, leading actress, cinematography, scenography, soundtrack, original song; Steven Spielberg’s thriller written by the Coen brothers THE BRIDGE OF SPIESstarring Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance, the latter awarded Best Supporting Actor; Quentin Tarantino’s western with Christoph Waltz, Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio DJANGO UNCHAINED, honored with the statuettes for best supporting actor and original screenplay; the post-apocalyptic action with Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, directed by George Miller, MAD MAX: FURY ROAD (awarded for set design, editing, sound, sound editing, costumes, makeup); the biopic about Alan Turing, starring Benedict Cumberbatch, THE IMITATION GAME , Best Adapted Screenplay; and the Martin Scorsese film starring Asa Butterfield and Ben Kingsley HUGO CABRET which received five awards, for production design, cinematography, sound editing, sound and special effects.
