The Sandbox opens its metaverse to 140,000 NFT producers

The Sandbox has announced that it will launch its Alpha Season 3 on August 24, 2022. The new season will include 98 experiences that will be revealed over ten weeks, offering players new content every day. There will be a chance to experience Ubisoft’s Rabbids universe experience with a Steve Aoki avatar or explore The Walking Dead Land experience using an NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club avatar. “Alpha Season 3 will introduce more multiplayer experiences, more partners, more creators, more rewards for owners and players, more collections and more fun through gameplay and revenue mechanics, ”said Sébastien Borget, COO and co-founder of The Sandbox. “Every day we will offer new and fun things to experience as we continue to evolve The Sandbox metaverse.”

In recent months The Sandbox has closed 27 deals with partners such as Snoop Dogg, The Walking Dead, Deadmau5, Sueco, Warner Music Group, Ubisoft’s Rabbids, BAYC, World of Women, The Smurfs, Steve Aoki, Metapride, Care Bears and Atari. Over the course of the season, players can level up, climb the ranks and earn rewards in Sand, the metaverse’s proprietary currency, or enter sweepstakes to earn Alpha Season 3 Passes that give the chance to win up to 500 Sand. Every player with a verified identity is eligible to win Sand and an AS3 Pass, plus there are also guaranteed rewards for Sand staking and Land, avatar and NFT owners. AS3 players collect Ethos points, which are the equivalent of experience points earned by completing missions. Ethos points can be used to earn lottery tickets, which offer the chance to win an AS3 Pass.
