The two characters of Lizzo

Aired in May, Homer’s Adventure Through the Windshield Glass is a bit of a novelty for the Fox animated comedy. The entire episode takes place in the few seconds in which Homer flies through his car windshieldfollowing an accident. “We’ve had this idea for a long time and it always felt like a pipe dream, and then we figured out a way to make it a reality,” executive producer Tim Long explains. The question, at that point, was only one: who will Homer be talking to at that moment? What will go through his head? Suddenly, the intuition: since the car is full of toys, why not make it talk to a doll? To be precise, one elven dollwho will come to life and become her spirit guide: that doll will have the voice of Lizzoand it will be a bit like its elven version.

But Lizzo is a huge fan of the Simpsons, so much so that she even dressed up as Marge on Halloween 2022. Thus, the producers decided to honor her with a character. Tim Long wrote the lyrics of the song he will sing, Bret McKenzie of Flight of the Conchords took care of the music. The song is called It Was Marge, Bitchwhere “bitch” means Homer.

The Simpsonswhat we know about the last episode of season 34

The final episode of the 34th season is inspired by two classic tales: An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge by Ambrose Bierce e The Secret Miracle by Jorge Luis Borges. The plot begins with Homer driving his car, just before the impact: Homer is very angry and, as he flies through the air, it turns out that the reason for his fury is a secret kept from him by Marge. In the episode, Lizzo says the word “bitch” over and over and seems to not tolerate Homer much, so much so that she ends up slapping him while trying to infuse some common sense into him. However, the two end up having a very sweet relationship.
