The debut, in preview, at the Culture Center of Dobbiaco with Emanuela Bianchini and the soloists of Mvula Sungani Physical Dance alongside the Windkraft Ensemble and the strings of the Italian Virtuosi
An eco-show Il Canto della Terra – Das lied von der Erde, the latest composition by Gustav Mahler, staged in a version that breaks down the boundaries between the arts entrusted to the young choreographer and director Mvula Sungani, which debuts tomorrow evening, national preview at the Culture Center in Dobbiaco, as part of the Alto Adige Festival.
On stage, alongside the étoile Emanuela Bianchini, the principal dancer Damiano Grifoni and the soloists of the Mvula Sungani Physical Dance, the Ensemble Windkraft and the strings of the Italian Virtuosi, the mezzo soprano Anna María Chiuri, the tenor John Jurgens conducted by Kasper De Roo, for a co-production of Teatro Ristori of Verona and Mspd Studios of Rome.
“I believe that this composition by Mahler can be considered very topical. At the heart of his music, ecology, the relationship between man and nature, the wish for a common rebirth – explains Mvula Sungani – These arguments reconcile us with creation. I consider them fundamental to induce us to reflect on the urgency of returning to love and respect our beloved Earth “.
