This is the decision made by Antonia Cristal, after handing over the crown of Miss Universe Chile

Antonia Crystal Figueroa She is 27 years old, is an Environmental Civil Engineer and served throughout 2021 as Miss Universe Chile. Her academic training is really complete since she speaks 4 languages: Spanish, English, German and Portuguese. She has also played the violin since she was 5 years old, a talent that has allowed her to be part of the symphony orchestra of the city of La Serena and form the “Musas” violin quartet.

As for sports, Antonia She practices Volleyball, Judo and was the national Taekwondo champion in her category in 2015. For this reason it can be said that “she is not just a pretty face”, as the popular saying goes. On June 25, she delivered the crown of Miss Universe Chile to the representative of the Foreign Community, Sofía Depassier.

At the end of his reign, Antonia decided that she will be the country’s representative in the next Reina Hispanoamericana 2022. The 31st edition of the contest will be held on November 5 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. Candidates from more than 20 countries and autonomous territories will compete for the title. At the end of the event, Andrea Bazarte, Hispanic American Queen 2021 of Mexico will crown her successor.

The event will be broadcast live on the Bolivian television network Red Uno and through the Internet for all of Latin America and the rest of the world. Currently there are already 12 confirmed countries to compete for the title of Spanish-American Queen 2022: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Philippines, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Antonia Crystal not only previously participated in Miss Universe Chile. In 2016 she represented the country at Miss World and two years later at Miss Earth. In the last edition of Miss Universe 2021, Antonia received the ImpactWayv award for being the candidate with the greatest social impact. Among her personal projects spread about her were the creation of a new and modern irrigation system through fog catchers in her region, her work as an Organic Beekeeper for more than 1 year and as founder of the NGO “Volunteers for children”.
