Threats of death and insults in Locatelli, searches by the carabinieri

The threats through numerous e-mails when the professor was the promoter of the vaccination campaign and the provisions relating to anti-Covid measures

The carabinieri of the provincial command of Rome, delegated by the local public prosecutor’s office and with the support of the carabinieri of the provincial commands of Turin, Faenza, L’Aquila, Parma and Taranto, carried out some house searches against people suspected of being the authors of the death threats and insults to the President of the Higher Health Council of the Ministry of Health and coordinator of the Technical Scientific Committee, Franco Locatelli.



The threats had been conveyed, starting from last February, through numerous e-mail messages addressed to prof. Locatelli, when he was the promoter of the vaccination campaign and of the provisions relating to anti-Covid19 measures. The carabinieri of the telematic investigations section of the Rome Investigative Unit, coordinated by the Public Prosecutor of Rome, identified the 13 senders of the numerous emails sent, subjecting the five subjects believed to be authors of the death threats to house searches.

“The latter, residing in the provinces of Turin, Faenza, L’Aquila, Parma and Taranto – let the carabinieri know – have their cell phones and computers seized and will be subjected to careful analysis in order to ascertain the concreteness of the threats made. and their possible belonging to extremist fringes “.
