TikTok is also renewed and announces that it will soon be possible to publish text-only content, in spite of what has happened up to now, where the video and photo format was the only usable one. Text posts can have a maximum of a thousand words as well as colored backgrounds, stickers and background music, a bit like Instagram. A novelty that will allow TikTok to enter a new slice of the market, competing with Twitter and the new Meta Threads project.
How to create a text post
“At TikTok, we’re always looking to empower our creators and our community with innovative tools that inspire self-expression,” reads the social network’s website: “Text is the latest addition to the options for creating content, which allows creators to share their stories, poems, recipes, and other written content on TikTok, offering another way to express themselves and making it even easier to create.” Creating a post will be very simple: “When you access the Camera page, you will be able to choose between three options: photo, video and text. By selecting text, you will be directed to the text creation page, where you can type the content of your post. Once Once you reach the page, you’ll find familiar options for customizing your content. These include adding sounds, tagging a location, enabling comments, and allowing duets, among others. These features make sure that your text posts are just as dynamic and interactive as any video or photo post.”
