Melissa McCarthy recently offered his two teenage daughters valuable advice on social media.
In a new interview with PEOPLE, melissawho shares She lived15 and georgette13, with her husband Ben Falconerevealed that helping her daughters navigate social media is “a team effort.”
“We follow up. I think it’s still something to be very, very watched.”said the actress Spy .
The Boss star continued: “I’m sure I don’t do half as good a job as I should because I’m so bad.”
While giving the teens suggestions, Melissa mentioned that they were always reminded that “keep this perspective… This is not real.”
“I keep saying this is smoke, mirrors and entertainment, which is fine. I’ve said, ‘It’s okay like someone takes a character I’ve played and assumes it’s really me,’” the Tammy actress explained.
She continued: “But that’s an ongoing fistfight that worries me all the time.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Melissa revealed that her girls like makeup but that it “really is used as a tool of expression.”
“It’s not to look older or different. So, I really let them experiment with him and his hair. They both dyed their hair, and I was like, ‘It’s hair. As long as you’re not trying to suddenly look 19’”, commented the actress of Superintelligence.
During the interview, Melissa was asked what is the best thing about having daughters.
To this, the actress replied: “Watching the next generation. There is so much hope that they can save us. There is so much hope that they are much more evolved than I was at that age. My world was so small.”
“Seeing them navigate a world that is much more complicated and much more difficult. And to do it with such grace and love and care and such empathy for other people… I learn from that every day,” she added.
