Tragedy at the Paris-Dakar, Carles Falcon dies a week after the accident

The accident in the final kilometers of the second stage, today the death of the 45-year-old Spanish motorcyclist due to the damage sustained

Paris-Dakar tragedy. The 45-year-old Spanish motorcyclist Carles Falcon died a week after the accident in which he was involved in the final kilometers of the second stage and in which he suffered cerebral edema due to the fracture of the C2 vertebra, as well as that of five ribs, the left wrist and the clavicle. His team, the TwinTrail Racing Team, made the sad announcement in a note.

“On Monday 15 January, Carles left us. The medical team confirmed that the neurological damage caused by the cardiorespiratory arrest at the time of the accident is irreversible. Carles was a smiling person, always active, who passionately loved everything he did , especially motorbikes. He left us doing something that was his dream, racing the Dakar. He had fun, he was happy on the motorbike. We must remember him for his smile and for the happiness he generated in everyone. On behalf of his family and the team We ask, please, for privacy to be maintained regarding the funeral which will take place in the next few days. We thank you for your understanding.”
